Video of the Diocese

A new video telling the story of our mission work in Peru has just been released. It is a clear and dynamic presentation of the Diocese, its aims, objectives and vision to train and send out national clergy and lay ministers.
It will be an excellent resource for:-
- Mission committees
- Home cell and Bible study groups
- Mission teams preparing to come
- All who faithfully support the Lord's work in Peru
It was filmed and cut by Benton Payne (17), assisted by his father Marshall, local sound man Mario, and bag man Dan Caldwell. Over seventeen hours of filming went into the making of the 12 minute video.

CDs are or will be available from:
In the USA, Susan Kerr, c/o Christ Church, 4550 Legacy Dr.; Plano, TX 75024

Growing Schools and Christmas trees in Peru

Members of the Cathedral congregation gathered after a Sunday service in Lima to plant Christmas tree seeds. Led by Lay Minister Mavis Crispin the seeds were planted in large pots for a future Christmas. In the picture with Mavis are James Hill (3) and the Bishop. Looking on in the background is Bertha.
Growing Schools is an initiative of the Department for Education and Skills in London www.teachernet.gov.uk/growingschools/

New Year Greeting

The Holy Name of Jesus
January 1st, 2006

Let us bless the living God:
He was born of the Virgin Mary,
Revealed in his glory,
Worshipped by angels,
Proclaimed among the nations,
Believed in throughout the world
Exalted to the highest heavens.
Blessed be God, our strength and our salvation, now and for ever. Amen

With prayers and greetings to all our friends and supporters as the new year begins.
